Weather info

The Weather info widget shows a summary of relevant and available weather and environmental conditions.

The widget shows the time of the closest sunrise or sunset.

Click on the widget to switch between the info about sunset and sunrise.

The tooltip of the widget summarizes the following information:

  • The actual timezone

  • The UTC offset of the current timezone

  • The time of the closest sunset

  • The time of the closest sunrise

  • The current planetary K index estimate (if the server provides this information)

  • The value of the magnetic declination at the center of the map (according to the IGRF13 model)

  • The last update time of the Kp index

The weather info widget also shows a warning badge if some of the weather constraints are risky. Currently warnings or errors are issued for the following states:

  • planetary K index is too high (Warning is issued for values over 4 and error for values over 5)
